What can I use my William Hill free bet on this weekend?
This weekend sees returning Premier League action including Liverpool vs Manchester City plus a full EFL programme, flat racing from Newmarket, NFL Week 5 including Philadelphia Eagles vs Jacksonville Jaguars in London, and UFC Fight Night Allen vs Duncan from The Meta APEX, Las Vegas – all from Friday 9th October through till Monday 12th October 2026.
This weekend sees Gameweek 6 of the Premier League season with six televised games, however Friday 9th October on Sky Sports features the EFL Championship at 8pm with West Ham vs Queens Park Rangers from the London Stadium. The last time these two played a league game against each other was in 2015 in the Premier League. That was on the 25th April 2015 which ended in a 0–0 draw at Loftus Road. Let’s hope for better this Friday night.
The Premier League television action then kicks off on Saturday 10th October. 12:30pm sees TNT Sports broadcasting Arsenal vs Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium. You’d expect this to be a comfortable home win with the Gunners unbeaten in five Premier League home matches, winning all five, heading into Saturday’s game against Leeds who to their credit are unbeaten so far in the Premier League this season. 5:30pm on Sky Sports then sees Manchester United vs Tottenham at Old Trafford. Across 34 Premier League games at Old Trafford, Manchester United have won 25, Tottenham 5, with 4 draws. That’s a 15% win rate for Spurs who go into this game bottom of the table and winless. This could be just the match for beleaguered Manchester United manager Michael Carrick.
Sunday 11th October sees an early Championship match on ITV1 and Sky Sports – the south coast derby Southampton vs Portsmouth from St Mary’s Stadium. These two sides fought-out 0-0 and 1-1 draws last season, so expect another close, fiery derby clash. 2pm then sees 2 simultaneous Premier League matches on Sky Sports channels. Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest on Sky Sports Main Event looks like a tight match. Nottingham Forest play better on the road than they do at the City Ground, whilst Palace have conceded 7 goals and lost both home matched at Selhurst Park so far this season. Hull City vs Everton on Sky Sports Football is a big game for Hull as 3 points at their MKM Stadium would be a huge signal that Premier League survival is go in East Yorkshire.
After the Premier League starter sees the main course in the form of Liverpool vs Manchester City at Anfield – kick-off is at 4:30pm. The task for Enzo Maresca and his Manchester City side is immense. City have played 29 Premier League matches at Anfield, winning 3, losing 18, with 8 draws. That’s a 10.3% win rate. Erling Haaland is expected to play – he scored (who else) an injury time winner here last season in a famous 2-3 victory.
Monday 12th October sees Premier League action live on Sky Sports Main Event with an 8pm kick-off in the shape of Coventry City vs Newcastle United. Magpies fans must be getting tired of Monday night away games after losing to Leeds United in their last Monday away match in September. Frank Lampard will have his Sky Blues side pumped up for this one, especially after they won their first Premier League game of this season prior to the international break, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground.
It’s worth remembering that William Hill will be giving away a daily football “Acca Bet Boost” across the Premier League this weekend Arsenal vs Leeds United, Manchester United vs Tottenham, Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest, Hull City vs Everton, Liverpool vs Manchester City, Coventry City vs Newcastle United. Simply pick your teams, create your accumulator (minimum 3 legs) and select your Daily Acca Bet Boost to enhance your odds.
NFL American Football Week 5 this weekend with action live on Sky Sports, DAZN PPV, plus on terrestrial Channel 5 who will be showing 3 games this Sunday via their main channel and on 5 Action. Friday at 1:15am on Sky Sports sees Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (2-2). This could be the perfect timing to meet the failing Buccaneers where Todd Bowles is under fire after a winless start. The Cowboys lost 31-34 to the Ravens last time they played at their AT&T Stadium, but last week they won the Texas grudge match in Houston. Sunday 11th October at 2:30pm then sees UK NFL on Channel 5 and Sky Sports Simulcast, with the Philadelphia Eagles (2-2) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. AFC South Champions Jaguars have started this season well, only losing at altitude to the Broncos by 7. The Eagles are 2–2 in 2026, having lost their last two games.
NFL Sunday continues on Channel 5 Action with Las Vegas Raiders (3-1) @ New England Patriots (2-2) with a 6pm kick-off. A classic East vs West clash, Mike Vrabel’s Patriots pulled off a big 3 point win away to the Bills last week and will now want to win at home against the 3-1 Raiders. Channel 5 at 9:25pm is then the place for the undoubted game of the week, the San Francisco 49ers (4-0) @ Seattle Seahawks (3-1). The are the reigning Super Bowl champions and face the 4-0 49ers who they beat 41–6 in the Playoffs last season. The early hours of Monday 12th October on Sky Sports then sees the Baltimore Ravens (3-1) @ Atlanta Falcons (2-2) at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Ravens under new head coach Jesse Minter have started the season brilliantly and are quoted with around a 40% chance of winning in Atlanta.
The Monday Night Football (early Tuesday morning in the UK) sees Joe Brady and his Buffalo Bills (3-1) travelling west to the SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Rams (2-2) – that’s live on Sky Sports.

Case Study – How I Use William Hill By Paul Williams
William Hill is one of the bookmakers that I use most regularly and I’ve been using them for over a decade now with no issues. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering using them as their bookmaker.
I occasionally use William Hill for horse racing and football, however it’s golf that I tend to use them most heavily for as their combination of each-way terms and odds is amongst the very best in the market.
For regular full-field events on the PGA Tour, William Hill tend to move to 8 places each way, 1/5 odds early on a Monday afternoon whilst largely maintaining their opening stance on prices. Yes the prices will move if they’re an outlier given the enhanced place terms, however they’re certainly not as quick as others to take a knife to their odds.
‘Scratch of the Day’ is a fun reason to come back to William Hill regularly with different offers available and their racing bet boost adds a bit of extra value to their odds on the horses.
William Hill Maximum Payouts
One area that’s often overlooked when selecting which bookmaker to use is their maximum payout ceilings. The reason this matters is that each bookmaker sets their own daily limit by sport above which they won’t pay out any winnings, and these limits can and do vary massively.
Where this becomes relevant is typically for accumulator bets where small stakes can result in large payouts if you manage to get all legs correct. For horse racing this might be an each-way accumulator or lucky 15/31/63 type bet; for football this is more likely to be an 8- or 10-fold accumulator on the match result, for instance. Regardless of the style of bet, if you do hit the jackpot what you don’t want is to find that your winnings are capped simply because you placed your bet with the wrong bookmaker.
Here’s a summary of some key sports and William Hill’s maximum payouts compared with some others in the market:
| Sport | William Hill Max Payout | Worst Max Payout |
|---|---|---|
| Premier League | £1,000,000 | £250,000 (888 Sport) |
| Top Level UK Horse Racing | £1,000,000 | £100,000 (Unibet) |
| PGA Tour Golf | £100,000 | £100,000 (BetVictor) |
| Men’s ATP Tennis | £100,000 | £75,000 (888 Sport) |
| NBA Basketball | £250,000 | £50,000 (Paddy Power) |
| NFL American Football | £250,000 | £50,000 (Paddy Power) |

2026 promises to be a huge year for sport with a whole host of major events to enjoy and, as ever, William Hill will have every angle covered. Once the customary Christmas tradition that is the World Darts Championship has finished in early January, snooker takes the lead with its iconic Masters tournament, beginning on Sunday 11th January at the Alexandra Palace in London.

The PGA Championship follows in mid-May, and the US Open in June, before The Open Championship returns to Royal Birkdale on Thursday 16th July for four days of world-class links golf on the Lancashire coast.
In cricket, the spotlight is on the shorter formats once again, with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup taking place in India and Sri Lanka during February and March. The Women’s T20 World Cup also arrives later in the year, hosted in England and Wales from June to July, providing plenty of international action for cricket fans.
Horse racing followers have the Cheltenham Festival to look forward to from 10th–13th March, with the Grand National taking place on Saturday 11th April at Aintree. Then it’s on to The Derby at Epsom, followed by Royal Ascot from 16th–20th June and Glorious Goodwood later in the summer.
Rugby fans will have their eyes on the Six Nations Championship, kicking off on Thursday 5th February, while Formula 1 followers can mark Sunday 5th July for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
And then, of course, comes the biggest show of all – the football World Cup. England will aim to build on their recent strong performances, while Scotland and Wales will be pushing for qualification. With matches hosted in iconic venues from Los Angeles to Mexico City, it’s set to be a truly global festival of football that will dominate the sporting summer before the new domestic season kicks off in August.

William Hill Promo Code Football 2026/2027 Season
With the extended International Break finally in the rear-view mirror, the next phase of Premier League matches continues before we break again in November for thankfully just a week this time.
Manchester City topped the league heading into the first break with five wins from five, however with all the turmoil surrounding the club at present whether they can maintain that position remains to be seen. Arsenal sit in second place at the time of writing with four wins from five; however a damaging 3-0 defeat at Brighton on their last fixture took the shine off their otherwise strong start to the campaign.
Talking of Brighton, they’re off to a flyer this season with Fabian Hurzeler’s side winning three of their five games and sitting third place in the table after the first International Break. With Pascal Gross pulling the strings in midfield and Brian Brobbey already with a hat-trick to his name this term, perhaps they can push on and seriously contend for a European spot this season.
In the slipstream both Liverpool and Everton were unbeaten through their first five matches with identical 2-3-0 records, but both Merseyside clubs will need to convert draws into wins if they’re going to challenge at the top end of the table this term.
Promoted teams Hull and Ipswich have both picked up two valuable wins each to put them comfortably in mid-table, with only Coventry struggling despite picking up a win over Nottingham Forest before the break. It’s Spurs and Fulham though who occupy the other relegation places alongside the Sky Blues, with both London clubs winless from their opening five matches.
William Hill will, as ever, have a multitude of outright and individual match markets available for betting upon as the action continues in the early autumn here in England.
Gameweek 6 fixtures are as follows:
Saturday 10th October:
- Arsenal vs Leeds
- Aston Villa vs Brentford
- Chelsea vs Bournemouth
- Ipswich vs Fulham
- Sunderland vs Brighton
- Manchester United vs Tottenham
Sunday 11th October:
- Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest
- Hull vs Everton
- Liverpool vs Manchester City
Monday 12th October:
- Coventry vs Newcastle
