What can I use the Betfred new customer offer on this weekend?
This weekend sees Premier League action including Tottenham vs Chelsea plus a full EFL programme, the Tingle Creek from Sandown Park, NFL Week 14, plus UFC 310 from Las Vegas, all from Friday 6th December through till Monday 9th December.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday sees Gameweek 15 of the Premier League season with 5 televised matches across Sky Sports and TNT Sports. The English league football starts on Friday night on Sky Sports featuring the EFL Championship at 8pm with Burnley vs Middlesbrough at Turf Moor. Burnley are in the slipstream of Sheffield United at the top of the Championship and are unbeaten in 15 games having not conceded a goal since in their last 7. They face a Middlesbrough side under Michael Carrick who are in the play-off positions, playing a buccaneering style of football where Tommy Conway and Emmanuel Latte Lath score plenty of goals.
The Premier League TV action starts on Saturday lunchtime with the Merseyside derby, Everton vs Liverpool. Fascinatingly Liverpool have only won 1 of their last 5 visits to Goodison Park and had to settle for a 3-3 draw at Newcastle on Wednesday. Everton will also be boosted by a 4-0 mauling of Wolverhampton in midweek. Later on Saturday sees Manchester United play Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Sky Sports at 5:30pm. Ruben Amorim lost his first game as Manchester United manager 2-0 at Arsenal on Wednesday night, but will be looking to bounce back against a Forest side that lost 3-0 at Manchester City on the same evening. Amorim as expected keeps toying with his starting line-up, but he’ll be boosted by Leny Yoro making his competitive debut for United off the bench at the Emirates in midweek.
Sunday 8th December sees an early Women’s Super League match between Manchester United and Liverpool live on Sky Sports kick-off at 12pm from the Leigh Sports Village. That’s followed at 2pm on Sky Sports by Fulham vs Arsenal at Craven Cottage. The Gunners look likeliest to be Liverpool’s main threats for the title and since lynchpins Saliba and Odegaard have returned to the team they’ve been unbeaten including a 5-1 win over Sporting and Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Manchester United. Fulham are typically mid-table and look likely to add Arsenal to a list of Craven Cottage losses which already include Aston Villa and Wolves this season.
The big Sunday Tottenham vs Chelsea game is live from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sky Sports Main Event at 4:30pm. Chelsea are challenging with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table with a team of so-called “misfits” as the season started looking very cohesive under Enzo Maresca, who many have forgotten is experiencing his first Premier League season as manager. Chelsea travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – where they have 4 wins from 5 Premier League matches – buoyed by a 5-1 thrashing of Southampton in midweek. They face a Tottenham side that are beautifully inconsistent and will be without Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur, but Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke could return.
Monday 9th December sees Premier League action live on Sky Sports Football with an 8pm kick-off. West Ham are closer to the relegation zone than the top of the Premier League and media sources are quoting that Julen Lopetegui is 40:60 to stay as West Ham manager. In those circumstances this match against relegation candidates Wolverhampton whose own manager Gary O’Neil is clinging to his job, should make for intriguing viewing having already been dubbed ‘El Sackio’.
EFL Championship, League 1 and League 2 are also in action this weekend with a number of these games available via Sky Sports+:
- Weekend Championship fixtures: Friday 6th December: Burnley vs Middlesbrough; Saturday 7th December: Leeds vs Derby, Sheffield Wednesday vs Preston, Sunderland vs Stoke, Cardiff vs Watford, Hull vs Blackburn, Luton vs Swansea, Millwall vs Coventry, Plymouth vs Oxford, Portsmouth vs Bristol City, QPR vs Norwich; Sunday 8th December: West Brom vs Sheffield United.
- Weekend League 1 fixtures: Saturday 7th December: Lincoln vs Charlton, Wigan vs Leyton Orient, Barnsley vs Birmingham City, Blackpool vs Rotherham, Bristol Rovers vs Bolton, Burton Albion vs Wrexham, Cambridge vs Shrewsbury, Crawley vs Stevenage, Stockport vs Exeter, Wycombe vs Reading; Monday 9th December: Northampton vs Peterborough.
- Weekend League 2 fixtures: Saturday 7th December: Crewe vs Bradford, Port Vale vs Walsall, Accrington Stanley vs Bromley, Barrow vs MK Dons, Chesterfield vs Tranmere, Doncaster vs Cheltenham, Gillingham vs Salford, Harrogate vs AFC Wimbledon, Morecambe vs Grimsby, Newport vs Carlisle, Notts County vs Colchester, Swindon vs Fleetwood.
ITV Racing is across our screens this Saturday with high class National Hunt flat racing from Sandown Park and Aintree live on ITV4 and featuring 8 races. Big race of the weekend is the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase from Sandown Park (3:00pm) over 2 miles. With £100,000 to the winner this is a recognised early season step towards Cheltenham’s Queen Mother Champion Chase. Unsurprisingly Nicky Henderson’s Jonbon (Nico de Boinville) is the odds-on favourite. Likeliest challengers look to be Edwardstone (Tom Cannon), Boothill (Bryan Carver) and Henry de Bromhead’s Irish raider Quilixios. Aintree is also on the menu and the big race on Merseyside is the 3 mile Becher Handicap Chase over the Grand National fences. King Turgeon (Jack Tudor) is the likely favourite for trainer David Pipe with Gaboriot (Henry Brooke), Chianti Classico (Tom Bellamy) and Cruz Control (Stan Sheppard) all likely challengers.
Weekend horse racing fixtures across the UK and Ireland are:
- Friday 6th December: Dundalk (Flat), Exeter, Newcastle (Flat), Sandown Park, Sedgefield.
- Saturday 7th December: Aintree, Chepstow, Navan, Sandown Park, Wetherby, Wolverhampton (Flat).
- Sunday 8th December: Cork, Huntingdon, Kelso.
- Monday 9th December: Lingfield Park, Musselburgh, Newcastle (Flat), Wolverhampton (Flat).

Case Study: Why I Signed Up With Betfred By Steve Bamford
Betfred have become one of my most popular online bookmakers to place bets with and I can’t be the only one, as they are now bigger in the United Kingdom than the likes of Betfair, Paddy Power and William Hill. The rise of Betfred makes plenty of sense once you are an engaged customer, as their new customer offer is generous in tandem with their ongoing promotions which drive my loyalty.
As with most new customers, I was attracted by Betfred’s new customer offer at the time which involved free bets after a qualifying bet had been placed. The free bets were delivered as promised and as I deposited cash into my new account for the first time via a debit card registered to me, I had no problems whatsoever having to send documentation etc.
From a betting perspective, I use Betfred mainly for football, golf and MMA betting . The bookmaker who brought you Double Delight and Hat-trick Heaven football promotions, I take advantage of their ACCA promotion where you get paid a bonus in cash (not free bets). Betfred are also great for golf betting on the basis they have stand-out odds on players plus have multiple options I can select in terms of the number of each-way places I want to take on a player.
At the end of the day you only continue to use a bookmaker which offers ongoing value and up until now I’ve found that with Betfred.

Betfred Maximum Payout
Maximum payout ceilings are critical when selecting an online bookmaker to place bets with. Each and every bookmaker has daily payout limits within their terms of business. Some are extremely generous with others significantly lower, and be in no doubt – a bookmaker will not pay any winnings higher than their daily maximum payout ceiling. To add a level of complexity, those levels vary by sport and naturally can impact on large payouts especially via accumulator bets.
From a maximum payout perspective, Betfred are far better than many UK-facing online bookmakers when it comes to daily payout limits. Competitive on football, Betfred right now are equal to anyone in the market for horse racing and golf, which are the second and third biggest sports bet on here.
Here’s a summary of some key sports and Betfred’s maximum payouts compared with some others in the market:
Sport | Betfred Max Payout | Worst Max Payout |
---|---|---|
UEFA Champions League | £1,000,000 | £250,000 888 Sport |
English Premier League | £1,000,000 | £250,000 888 Sport |
UK Horse Racing | £1,000,000 | £100,000 Unibet |
PGA Tour Golf | £500,000 | £100,000 BetVictor |
ATP Tennis | £100,000 | £75,000 Unibet |
Darts | £100,000 | £25,000 Betfair Sportsbook |

- Place a pre-match single bet on the first goalscorer market in any of the specified Double Delight & Hat-Trick Heaven games.
- Wait for your player to score and if they score a second you’ll get paid out at double the odds.

2024 Sporting Calendar – Betfred Coverage
2024 promises to be a huge year for sport with a whole host of major events to enjoy and, as ever, Betfred will have every angle covered. Once the customary Christmas tradition that is the World Darts has finished, snooker takes the lead with its iconic Masters tournament which begins on the 7th January.
As usual, tennis fans have the 4 Grand Slams to get their teeth into, beginning with the Australian Open on January 14th, followed by the French Open in May, Wimbledon in June, and the US Open in late August.
Likewise, golf fans see their Majors season kick off, as is tradition, in April with The Masters at Augusta National. The PGA Championship ventures to Valhalla in 2024, with Pinehurst the venue once again for the US Open in June. Betfred History
From humble Salford beginnings in 1967, through astute promotions and estate purchases, Fred and Peter Done have built Betfred into the biggest independent retail bookmaker globally. That is some feat with Betfred now becoming the 4th largest bookmaker in the United Kingdom and a major employer with over 10,000 staff. A footprint of over 1,650 licensed betting shops is not to be sniffed at, but the story of Betfred – who saw its 50th anniversary in 2017 – highlights a heritage that undoubtedly has its roots firmly in the north-west of England. From 2 humble shops in Salford by 1969, the Done brothers had organically grown their business to 100 shops by 1997. However Fred Done, the figurehead of the modern-day Betfred, realised that the business needed to spread its wings from its Manchester area focus, so purchases of 5 shops in Newcastle and the Demmy chain of shops in 1998 for £10 million was the catalyst for bigger things. Throughout the noughties expansion was fast and came in the form of a new brand, TV advertising, shop expansion and Betfred.com which was launched in 2004.
Recent history is interesting as Betfred is now has the third biggest betting shop estate behind Ladbrokes Coral and William Hill. The self-proclaimed “Bonus King” had developed its shop network to well over 800 shops before it purchased the Tote for £265 million in 2011. Fred Done brokered the deal personally with the UK Government and it covered all Tote locations across the UK both on-track and their retail outlets. 2016 saw Betfred take advantage of market conditions again. The merger of Ladbrokes and Coral became an opportunity when the Competition & Markets Authority announced that the new group would need to sell 10% of its shop network before receiving the green light. Ever the opportunist, Fred Done moved quickly to snap up 322 stores for £55 million – therefore expanding Betfred’s High Street presence by 25%.
Betfred.com has been in existence since 2004 and operates under the guise of Petfre Limited, a business based and ostensibly licensed in Gibraltar. It’s a huge area of opportunity as until now Betfred trail the likes of High Street competitors William Hill, Ladbrokes and Coral online. With further store expansion unlikely moving forward, expect Betfred to focus their efforts on bringing their digital products to the forefront of their marketing mix and that can only mean good things for new and existing customers.
Betfred New Customer Offer Football – 2024 Season
With the 2024/25 Premier League season already more than a quarter of the way through, this year is setting up to be one of the most exciting in recent times with pre-season favourites Manchester City not having it all their own way by any means.
Having lost 4 games on the trot in all competitions before the November international break, Pep Guardiola’s men trailed Liverpool by 5 points before the superstars of each team headed off to their respective home countries’ training camps, meaning that The Reds had become clear favourites to halt City’s dominance of the EPL.
With the busy December period likely to provide pivotal to the chances of those teams with any aspirations of the title or European places, all eyes will be on the fixtures of City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal as they jostle for position in the league.
Surprise package Nottingham Forest are making a bold attempt to secure European football next season with striker Chris Wood firing on all cylinders this season, however there’ll undoubtedly be pressure from the likes of Spurs, Newcastle and Aston Villa as we head through the festive period,
And then there’s Manchester United to consider who’ll be looking for an instant improvement in their league position under new manager Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils have started the campaign poorly with key players simply underperforming, so it will fascinating to see if the forming Sporting CP boss can bring the best out of Rashford, Fernandes and the like.
The fight for the title and European football is fierce, however at the other end of the table there’s a titanic battle for Premier League survival.
Promoted sides Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton have all picked up their first wins of the campaign, but all three are still in a dogfight to retain their place at football’s top table in what may prove to be a mini-league of five with them, Wolves and Crystal Palace.
Betfred will, as ever, have a multitude of outright and individual match markets available for betting upon as the action continues through the middle part of the season.
Gameweek 15 fixtures are as follows:
