Friday, Saturday and Sunday sees Matchday 10 of the Premier League season with 8 televised matches across TNT Sports and Sky Sports. The Premier League football starts on Friday night on Sky Sports featuring Everton vs Coventry City at 8pm from the Hill Dickinson Stadium. This will be a test of Coventry’s mettle after a positive start under Frank Lampard. Everton are seventh in the table as David Moyes sails his way towards another European adventure. Coventry won this fixture at Goodison Park the last time they were in the Premier League back in 2000.
The Premier League TV action continues on Saturday lunchtime with Leeds United vs Tottenham from Elland Road – that’s live on TNT Sports with a 12:30pm kick-off. In terms of Premier League last 6 games form, this is Number 14 vs Number 4. Yes Spurs are in the top 4 form-wise over the past 6 games and head to Elland Road where they have won on 4 of their last 5 Premier League visits. Sky Sports Main Event at 5:30pm is the channel for Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City at the City Ground. Manchester City lost to Brighton at the Etihad last week and squeezed past RB Leipzig on Wednesday night in the Champions League. Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City at the City Ground across their 7 Premier League meetings has seen Forest win 3 and City win 3, with a single draw.
Sunday 8th November sees a feast of football on Sky Sports starting with Liverpool Women vs Arsenal Women in the Women’s Super League with a 12pm kick-off. 2pm then sees 4 simultaneous Premier League matches on Sky Sports channels. Crystal Palace vs Liverpool on Sky Sports Main Event will see Andoni Iraola wanting his team to bounce back from their shock Wednesday night defeat to Fenerbahce in the Champions League. Reds fans will be buoyed by the fact Liverpool have won 11 (65%) of the 17 Premier league meetings at Selhurst Park. Brighton vs Brentford (Sky Sports+) sees both teams in great form, whilst Ipswich Town vs Bournemouth (Sky Sports Cricket) is a great test of Ipswich’s Premier League credentials. Sunderland vs Chelsea (Sky Sports Premier League) sees contrasting form. Regis Le Bris has been told by Sunderland he has their full support despite being the placement club in the Premier League. Chelsea seemingly improve by the game, but as a team have only won 1 of their last 4 visits to the Stadium of Light.
The big Manchester United vs Aston Villa match is live from Old Trafford on Sky Sports Main Event / Football at 4:30pm. Both of these had varying fortunes in the Champions League midweek, with Villa losing 3-0 in Barcelona, whilst the pressure on Michael Carrick eased as United came from 2-0 behind to beat AS Roma 3-2. History suggests another United victory, with Aston Villa only winning 1 of their last 13 Premier League visits to Old Trafford.

Betting race of the day will be the 3:35pm Handicap Chase featuring 12 runners. First up at 1:45pm is the Grade 2 William Hill Molyneux Hurdle over 2 miles. A head-to-head between Alexei (Harry Cobden) and Mydaddypaddy (Harry Skelton) looks more than plausible, with Nicky Henderson sending up Lucky Place (Nico de Boinville) from Lambourn and Gordon Elliott sending across Mange Tout (Mark Walsh) from Ireland. The 2:25pm then features exciting young chasers in the Grade 2 Boodles Rising Stars Novices’ Chase. The head-to-head between No Drama This End (Sam Twiston-Davies) and Talk To The Man (Harry Skelton) is likely to be epic, and don’t discount Ben Pauling’s Taurus Bay (Ben Jones).

Betfred Welcome Offer In Detail
Case Study: Why I Signed Up With Betfred By Steve Bamford
Betfred have become one of my most popular online bookmakers to place bets with and I can’t be the only one, as they are now bigger in the United Kingdom than the likes of Betfair, Paddy Power and William Hill. The rise of Betfred makes plenty of sense once you are an engaged customer, as their new customer offer is generous in tandem with their ongoing promotions which drive my loyalty.
As with most new customers, I was attracted by Betfred’s new customer offer at the time which involved free bets after a qualifying bet had been placed. The free bets were delivered as promised and as I deposited cash into my new account for the first time via a debit card registered to me, I had no problems whatsoever having to send documentation etc.
From a betting perspective, I use Betfred mainly for football, golf and MMA betting . The bookmaker who brought you Double Delight and Hat-trick Heaven football promotions, I take advantage of their ACCA promotion where you get paid a bonus in cash (not free bets). Betfred are also great for golf betting on the basis they have stand-out odds on players plus have multiple options I can select in terms of the number of each-way places I want to take on a player.
At the end of the day you only continue to use a bookmaker which offers ongoing value and up until now I’ve found that with Betfred.

Betfred Maximum Payout
Maximum payout ceilings are critical when selecting an online bookmaker to place bets with. Each and every bookmaker has daily payout limits within their terms of business. Some are extremely generous with others significantly lower, and be in no doubt – a bookmaker will not pay any winnings higher than their daily maximum payout ceiling. To add a level of complexity, those levels vary by sport and naturally can impact on large payouts especially via accumulator bets.
From a maximum payout perspective, Betfred are far better than many UK-facing online bookmakers when it comes to daily payout limits. Competitive on football, Betfred right now are equal to anyone in the market for horse racing and golf, which are the second and third biggest sports bet on here.
Here’s a summary of some key sports and Betfred’s maximum payouts compared with some others in the market:
| Sport | Betfred Max Payout | Worst Max Payout |
|---|---|---|
| UEFA Champions League | £1,000,000 | £250,000 888 Sport |
| English Premier League | £1,000,000 | £250,000 888 Sport |
| UK Horse Racing | £1,000,000 | £100,000 Unibet |
| PGA Tour Golf | £500,000 | £100,000 BetVictor |
| ATP Tennis | £100,000 | £75,000 Unibet |
| Darts | £100,000 | £25,000 Betfair Sportsbook |

- Place a pre-match single bet on the first goalscorer market in any of the specified Double Delight & Hat-Trick Heaven games.
- Wait for your player to score and if they score a second you’ll get paid out at double the odds.

Betfred History
From humble Salford beginnings in 1967, through astute promotions and estate purchases, Fred and Peter Done have built Betfred into the biggest independent retail bookmaker globally. That is some feat with Betfred now becoming the 4th largest bookmaker in the United Kingdom and a major employer with over 10,000 staff. A footprint of over 1,650 licensed betting shops is not to be sniffed at, but the story of Betfred – who saw its 50th anniversary in 2017 – highlights a heritage that undoubtedly has its roots firmly in the north-west of England. From 2 humble shops in Salford by 1969, the Done brothers had organically grown their business to 100 shops by 1997. However Fred Done, the figurehead of the modern-day Betfred, realised that the business needed to spread its wings from its Manchester area focus, so purchases of 5 shops in Newcastle and the Demmy chain of shops in 1998 for £10 million was the catalyst for bigger things. Throughout the noughties expansion was fast and came in the form of a new brand, TV advertising, shop expansion and Betfred.com which was launched in 2004.
Recent history is interesting as Betfred is now has the third biggest betting shop estate behind Ladbrokes Coral and William Hill. The self-proclaimed “Bonus King” had developed its shop network to well over 800 shops before it purchased the Tote for £265 million in 2011. Fred Done brokered the deal personally with the UK Government and it covered all Tote locations across the UK both on-track and their retail outlets. 2016 saw Betfred take advantage of market conditions again. The merger of Ladbrokes and Coral became an opportunity when the Competition & Markets Authority announced that the new group would need to sell 10% of its shop network before receiving the green light. Ever the opportunist, Fred Done moved quickly to snap up 322 stores for £55 million – therefore expanding Betfred’s High Street presence by 25%.
Betfred.com has been in existence since 2004 and operates under the guise of Petfre Limited, a business based and ostensibly licensed in Gibraltar. It’s a huge area of opportunity as until now Betfred trail the likes of High Street competitors William Hill, Ladbrokes and Coral online. With further store expansion unlikely moving forward, expect Betfred to focus their efforts on bringing their digital products to the forefront of their marketing mix and that can only mean good things for new and existing customers.
Betfred New Customer Offer Football 2026/2027 Season
With the extended International Break finally in the rear-view mirror, the next phase of Premier League matches continues before we break again in November for thankfully just a week this time.
Manchester City topped the league heading into the first break with five wins from five, however with all the turmoil surrounding the club at present whether they can maintain that position remains to be seen. Arsenal sit in second place at the time of writing with four wins from five; however a damaging 3-0 defeat at Brighton on their last fixture took the shine off their otherwise strong start to the campaign.
Talking of Brighton, they’re off to a flyer this season with Fabian Hurzeler’s side winning three of their five games and sitting third place in the table after the first International Break. With Pascal Gross pulling the strings in midfield and Brian Brobbey already with a hat-trick to his name this term, perhaps they can push on and seriously contend for a European spot this season.
In the slipstream both Liverpool and Everton were unbeaten through their first five matches with identical 2-3-0 records, but both Merseyside clubs will need to convert draws into wins if they’re going to challenge at the top end of the table this term.
Promoted teams Hull and Ipswich have both picked up two valuable wins each to put them comfortably in mid-table, with only Coventry struggling despite picking up a win over Nottingham Forest before the break. It’s Spurs and Fulham though who occupy the other relegation places alongside the Sky Blues, with both London clubs winless from their opening five matches.
Betfred will, as ever, have a multitude of outright and individual match markets available for betting upon as the action continues in the early autumn here in England.
