What can I use the Betfred new customer offer on this weekend?
This weekend sees Premier League action including Aston Villa vs Manchester United and a full EFL programme, the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe from Longchamp, NFL American Football, plus UFC 307 from Salt Lake City – all from Friday 4th October through till Monday 7th October.
This weekend sees Gameweek 7 of the Premier League season with 4 televised matches across TNT Sports & Sky Sports. The English football starts on Friday night on Sky Sports featuring the EFL Championship at 8pm with Sunderland vs Leeds United at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland are top of the league facing Leeds United who after a midweek draw at Norwich sit in the play-off places after 8 games. Sunderland won the corresponding match in December last season 1-0 in front of 40,000 fans.
The Premier League television action kicks-off on Saturday. 12:30pm sees TNT Sports coverage of Crystal Palace vs Liverpool from Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park last Saturday but couldn’t face tougher opposition as Arne Slot and Liverpool arrive in SE25. Liverpool are top of the Premier League after 7 matches and have a superb record at Selhurst Park, where they last lost in the Premier League way back in 2014.
Later on Saturday sees Everton face Newcastle at Goodison Park on Sky Sports at 5:30pm. Everton’s win last Saturday lifted them out of the bottom 3 for the first time this season, and with renewed optimism around Goodison you could see Sean Dyche’s side giving Newcastle plenty of problems. The Magpies lost their last away game 3-1 at Fulham a fortnight ago, but will take huge positive energy from their 1-1 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City last Saturday.
Sunday sees an early Scottish Premiership match on Sky Sports as Ross County take on Celtic at 12pm. Celtic were hammered 7-1 in midweek by Borussia Dortmund in Europe and will no doubt be looking to bounce back with a statement against a Ross County side who were only beaten by fellow Scottish Premiership pace-setters Aberdeen 1-0 here at The Global Energy Stadium in August. That’s followed at 2pm on Sky Sports by the biggest game of the weekend in the Premier League as Aston Villa face Manchester United from Villa Park. Villa will be buoyant after their midweek European win over Bayern Munich and will be looking forward to playing a United side who are under pressure after Premier League defeats to Brighton, Liverpool and Tottenham already this season.
Brighton vs Tottenham is the final Premier League game of the weekend live from the American Express Stadium on Sky Sports Main Event / Football at 4:30pm. Brighton are unbeaten at home so far in their opening 3 matches at The AMEX, but 2 of those games resulted in draws against Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest. Tottenham travelled to Old Trafford last Sunday and defeated Manchester United 3-0 in a dominant performance. Both teams are packed full of goals so Both Teams to Score is sure to be a popular bet on this Sky Sports Super Sunday match.
EFL Championship, League 1 and League 2 are also in action on Saturday afternoon with lots of these games available via Sky Sports+.
- Saturday Championship fixtures: Burnley vs Preston, Norwich City vs Hull, Portsmouth vs Oxford, Coventry vs Sheffield Wednesday, Derby vs QPR, Plymouth vs Blackburn, Sheffield United vs Luton, Swansea vs Stoke, Watford vs Middlesbrough, West Brom vs Millwall.
- Saturday League 1 fixtures: Huddersfield vs Barnsley, Peterborough vs Stevenage, Bolton vs Shrewsbury, Burton Albion vs Bristol Rovers, Charlton vs Birmingham City, Exeter vs Cambridge, Lincoln City vs Leyton Orient, Mansfield vs Blackpool, Rotherham vs Reading, Stockport vs Wigan, Wrexham vs Northampton, Wycombe vs Crawley.
- Saturday League 2 fixtures: Fleetwood vs Bromley, Grimsby vs Doncaster, Accrington Stanley vs Morecambe, Barrow vs Cheltenham, Chesterfield vs Walsall, Colchester vs Carlisle, Crewe vs Gillingham, MK Dons vs Tranmere, Notts County vs Port Vale, Salford City vs AFC Wimbledon, Swindon vs Harrogate.
Monday 7th October sees EFL League 2 action live on Sky Sports Football with an 8pm kick-off. Bradford City – arguably the biggest club in League 2 – play Newport County at Valley Parade. The Welsh side are going well in League 2 under Graham Coughlan, with experienced midfielder Aaron Wildig scoring goals from midfield, and County are just outside of the play-off spots. Meanwhile Bradford City under Graham Alexander are under pressure, having not won in League 2 in their past 4 matches. Bradford won the corresponding fixture last season 4-1.
UFC 307 from the DeltaCenter, Salt Lake City, Utah early Sunday morning sees full coverage on TNT Sports. Last time the UFC visited Salt Lake City, Leon Edwards became UFC Welterweight Champion at UFC 278, defeating Kamuru Usman. UFC 307 features a cracking Main Event featuring Alex “Poatan” Pereira (11-2). The Brazilian is a 2-weight World Champion and has an 8-1 record in the UFC. UFC 307 sees him defend his Light Heavyweight UFC strap for the third time as he fights Khalil Rowntree (14-5), before a rumoured move to the Heavyweight division. Co-main sees UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Raquel Pennington (16-9) defend her title against former champion Julianna Pena (12-5). The Main Card also features the legendary Jose Aldo (32-8) versus Mario Bautista (14-2) who is on a 6 fight winning streak in the UFC at Bantamweight. 2-time PFL World Champion Kayla Harrison (17-1) also appears on UFC 307 after defeating Holly Holm in her first UFC fight at UFC 300.
NFL American Football Week 5 this weekend features action live on Sky Sports. Friday morning (UK time) sees the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) at the Atlanta Falcons (2-2) in the NFC South. Sunday evening sees a couple of games with the Baltimore Ravens (2-2) at the struggling Cincinnati Bengals (1-3), followed by the Arizona Cardinals (1-3) at the San Francisco 49ers (2-2) in the NFC West. Early Monday morning UK time then features Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys (2-2) travelling to the Acrisure Stadium to play the AFC North leaders the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1).
The Monday Night NFL game (early Tuesday morning in the UK) sees Head Coach Dennis Allen have the unenviable task of taking his New Orleans Saints (2-2) team to the Arrowhead Stadium to play the defending Superbowl champions and unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs (4-0).
It’s a double helping of ITV Racing this weekend with racing from Ascot and Newmarket on Saturday 5th October plus the Prix De L’Arc de Triomphe meeting from Longchamp on Sunday 6th October – both on ITV1. The Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is the richest race in Europe with £2,484,348 going to the winning connections. The international nature of the Prix De L’Arc can be seen within the top 4 runners in the betting market, with French trainers Carlos & Yann Lerner and Andre Fabre putting forward the home nation’s best chances, whilst Aidan O’Brien and Yoshito Yahagi send over top runners from Ireland and Japan respectively. Look De Vega (Lerner), Sosie (Fabre), Los Angeles (O’Brien) and Shin Emperor (Yahagi) head the betting, whilst British hopes look best served by Bluestocking who Ralph Beckett sends over from his Kimpton Down Stables in Hampshire.
Saturday’s action is live on ITV1 with Newmarket featuring Group 1 action. The Sun Chariot Stakes (2:40pm) over the rolling mile sees Inspiral (Robert Havlin), Tamfana (Colin Keane) and Nashwa (Hollie Doyle) head the betting with £156,000 going to the winner. Meanwhile in Berkshire, the 3:35pm Challenge Cup at Ascot is a 7 furlong handicap with £93,000 available for winning connections. As with most Handicaps the betting is wide open with Fresh (Daniel Tudhope), Qirat (Hector Crouch) and Volterra (Shane Gray) all squabbling over favouritism.
Weekend horse racing fixtures across the UK and Ireland are:
- Friday 4th October: Ascot, Dundalk, Fontwell (Jumps), Gowran Park, Hexham (Jumps), Newcastle.
- Saturday 5th October: Ascot, Curragh, Gowran Park, Newmarket, Redcar, Southwell, Wolverhampton.
- Sunday 6th October: Kelso (Jumps), Killarney, Tipperary, Uttoxeter (Jumps).
- Monday 7th October: Fairyhouse, Killarney, Pontefract, Stratford (Jumps), Wolverhampton, Yarmouth.

Case Study – How I Use Betfred By Paul Williams
I use Betfred for two distinct areas of betting: Lucky 15 bets on horse racing and also on golf.
For Lucky 15 betting there isn’t a better option out there that I’ve found over the years that I’ve been betting on horse racing. Most bookies offer some kind of consolation if you only get one leg of your Lucky bet up, however Betfred are by far the most generous with 3x bonus on Lucky 15s and 5x bonus on lucky 63s. Put into context, most other bookies offer at best 2x bonus on Lucky bets.
For golf they’re always one that I check before placing my bets, mainly because their odds compilers often take a contrarian view on some players than other bookmakers. There’s an awful lot of ‘copy and paste’ bookmakers on golf which leads to very consistent pricing across the board, however Betfred are one of the few bookies who will happily take a stance on a player which can result in better odds.
Betfred Maximum Payouts
One area that’s often overlooked when selecting which bookmaker to use is their maximum payout ceilings. The reason this matters is that each bookmaker sets their own daily limit by sport above which they won’t pay out any winnings, and these limits can and do vary massively.
Where this becomes relevant is typically for accumulator bets where small stakes can result in large payouts if you manage to get all legs correct. For horse racing this might be an each-way accumulator or lucky 15/31/63 type bet; for football this is more likely to be an 8- or 10-fold accumulator on the match result, for instance. Regardless of the style of bet, if you do hit the jackpot what you don’t want is to find that your winnings are capped simply because you placed your bet with the wrong bookmaker.
Here’s a summary of some key sports and Betfred’s maximum payouts compared with some others in the market:
Sport | Betfred Maximum Payout | Worst Maximum Payout |
---|---|---|
Premier League | £1,000,000 | £250,000 (888 Sport) |
UK Horse Racing | £1,000,000 | £100,000 (Unibet) |
PGA Tour Golf | £500,000 | £100,000 (BetVictor) |
Men’s ATP Tennis | £100,000 | £75,000 (888 Sport) |
NBA Basketball | £100,000 | £50,000 (Paddy Power) |
NFL American Football | £100,000 | £50,000 (Paddy Power) |
For a comprehensive overview of this topic read this excellent Betfred maximum payout guide.
Betfred Lucky 15 Bonuses
One area where Betfred really excel is in their bonus structure for Lucky 15, 31 and 63 bets. When it comes to gauging which bookmaker is best for Lucky 15 bets, there are two elements to consider:
- 1 Winner ‘Consolation’ Bonus
- 4 Winner Bonus
When it comes to Lucky 15 bets, Betfred lead the way for single winner consolation bonus terms, offering 3 times the odds for a solitary winner. Other bookmakers listed offer 2 times the odds, whereas others not listed offer nothing at all:
Bookmaker | 1 Winner Consolation | 4 Winner Bonus |
---|---|---|
Betfred | 3x Odds | 10% Bonus |
bet365 | 2x Odds | 15% Bonus |
William Hill | 2x Odds | 10% Bonus |
Ladbrokes | 2x Odds | 10% Bonus |
Coral | 2x Odds | 10% Bonus |
Unibet | 2x Odds | 10% Bonus |
For horse racing and greyhound punters who use the ‘Lucky’ permutation bets, using Betfred is undoubtedly a better option than most other bookmakers.
Betfred Acca Flex
Some bookmakers offer an accumulator bonus; others offer an accumulator insurance. Betfred, however, offer you BOTH, all wrapped up neatly in their ‘Acca Flex’ proposition.
In terms of an acca bonus, bonuses start for successful 5-folds with each leg at odds of 1/2 or longer. Winning 5-folds attract a 2.5% bonus, 6-folds a 10% bonus – all the way up to 12-folds or more that receive a whopping 50% bonus.
Ah, but there’s always that one team that lets me down, I hear you cry. Betfred have that covered too – for losing 5-folds or more where a solitary result lets you down, Betfred refund your stake up to £10. Can’t say fairer than that.
- Acca Flex. Applies to pre-match football accumulators of 5+ selections on selected markets. Min odds 1/2 leg. 2.5%-50% cash bonus on settlement if all selections win. £10 max cash refund if one leg loses. Paid within 24hrs of bet settlement. Cashed Out/In-Play bets not applicable. T&Cs apply.
To make things even more flexible, Betfred don’t restrict this to just the straightforward match winner market either. Indeed the following markets all qualify: Match Result, Both Teams to Score, Match Result & Both Teams to Score, Half-Time/Full-Time, Total Goals Over/Under, Match Result & Total Goals Over/Under, Correct Score, Double Chance and 1st Half Over/Under.
Betfred Double Delight & Hat-Trick Heaven
One of Betfred’s unique propositions that’s stuck for a number of years now is Double Delight & Hat-Trick Heaven, and if you’re a first goalscorer punter then it’s an absolute must!
Each week Betfred nominate a series of matches that qualify for the promotion, ranging from top Premier League clashes to International fixtures, and on these matches there’ll be the following additional benefits:
- If your selected player scores first, then goes on to bag a second goal then you’ll get paid out at double the odds.
- If they go on to score a third, you’ll have your first goalscorer bet paid out at treble the odds – in cash!
This promotion has been so popular for Betfred, attracting many new punters over the years, that they’ve also recently applied the same principle to first tryscorer markets on selected Rugby matches too.
- Football – Double Delight & Hat-trick Heaven: Only pre-match single bets placed on the specified DDHH first goalscorer market in selected games. Fulfilled in real cash and credited with settlement of the first goalscorer market. 90 mins only. Full T&Cs Apply.
Betfred Free Bet Club
Greyhound racing fans can grab themselves a weekly £10 free bet with Betfred’s free bet club. To qualify simply place a bet on 3 separate Greyhound races across Wednesday and Thursday and Betfred will give you your average stake back in Free Bets (up to £10) on Friday!
- 3 single bets (1/2+) on the outright market across 3 separate Greyhound races across selected days. Free Bet refund calculated based on average stake. Min refund 50p in Free Bets, max £10. Credited within 24hrs of the promo ending. Removed after 48hrs. Full T&Cs apply.

So whether you sign-up to Betfred Sportsbook, Betfred Casino, Betfred Games, or any other Betfred products, the same initial customer data including Username and Password is entered when you register. Betfred then get the new customer to choose what new customer welcome promotion they want, via a promo code which is entered within the Promotion Code field.
So it’s absolutely imperative that you quote the correct promo code before agreeing to the Betfred Terms and Conditions and pressing the Register button. Betfred within their terms, state that failure to populate the Promotion Code field can see a new account being activated, with no welcome bonus being received, so take your time and be clear and what promo code you need.
New Product Promotions for All
Betfred are happy for existing customers to use all of their deposit bonuses available. The term ‘Brand New Customers Only,’ is something that you will not find in Betfred terms and conditions. So customers who originally sign-up via the Sportsbook free bet new customer promotion can then access the Betfred Casino Welcome Bonus and so on. It’s actively encouraged by the Warrington-based bookmaker, who simply want their customers to be satisfied and continue playing with them into the future.
Now this clarity of all free bets and promotions for each customer needs to be put in perspective. Free bets and welcome bonuses are nothing new. The online betting and gaming industry is awash with them, but what turns Betfred into the national power house they are is that their promotions are not only generous, but they are easy to use and are available to all. Plenty of Betfred’s rivals restrict their promotions for new customers to the first deal they sign-up to. So if you sign-up via a sports free bet and then weeks or months down the line want to play online casino with the same company, you won’t be able to access a casino welcome bonus.
Betfred Promo Code Football – 2024 Season
The fixtures have been published for the 2024/25 Premier League season and football punters all across the world will be licking their lips in anticipation of what’s sure to be another exciting campaign.
Manchester City have been installed as the favourites with Betfred to win a fifth successive Premier League title and what would be an ninth overall since the EPL was formed in 1992.
With Erling Haaland proving an unstoppable force again last season, ably supported by the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden to mention but a few, it will take an incredible effort for any other team to step in their way. Yet plenty of sage punters think that this could be Arsenal’s year and the Gunners have been well backed as they look to end City’s dominance.
The fight for the title, Champions League spots and European football will be fierce, however at the other end of the table there will be a titanic battle for Premier League survival.
Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton are the newly promoted teams, with the Tractor Boys enjoying a meteoric rise back up the leagues under the management of Kieran McKenna, however all three are amongst the favourites for relegation. Yet with the likes of Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, Wolves and even Everton not assured of safety, it will be fascinating to see how the 2024/25 EPL season unfolds.
Betfred will, as ever, have a multitude of outright and individual match markets available for betting upon as the action continues through the early part of the season.
